Steve Williams

Local lad Steve joined the Old Boys in season 2007-8, a slight, speedy winger or striker, making an instant impression in the Reserves with plenty of goals. After helping the Reserves to the runners-up spot in season 2009-10, Steve became a regular in Macca’s 1st XI, playing in a deeper role and later establishing himself as the team captain.

Steve then decided he wanted to experience a higher and more glamorous level of football, but he couldn’t find it so he went down the road to local rivals Virginia Water. The club really missed him as they went on to win the league and County Cup in his absence. Steve would make occasional appearances on the sidelines, watching his old team mates in action and looking forward to the day when he could pull on the Old Boys shirt again.

Then in 2020-21, Steve made the bold decision to return, to come back to Nobles and pull on his red and black striped shirt once more. Unfortunately the shirt didn’t fit him any more so the club had to order a bigger one.
