Scorers: Patterson, Morsia
Goals from Olly Patterson and Elliott Morsia in each half were enough for Royal Holloway to beat Battersea Ironsides and maintain the unbeaten start to the season.
After soaking up early pressure from the hosts Holloway took the lead when a dangerous Chris Woods cross was cleared to Patterson, who produced an excellent first time strike from the edge of the area into the bottom corner.
Both sides had goals ruled out for offside before Battersea equalised in the second half, but Morsia had the last word when he bundled in from close range with 10 minutes remaining. The defence managed to keep it tight to continue the impressive start to the campaign.
Holloway dealt well with a series of early long throw-ins and corners on a narrow pitch.
The visitors then went on carved out a number of clear cut openings, with Harry Cobb unlucky not to get on the scoresheet.
The Old Boys are enjoying life in the Surrey Intermediate Elite League and the win secured back to back away victories.
The first team return to Nobles next week when they face Reigate Priory. Kick off is 3pm and all support is welcome.
We wish Battersea Ironsides good luck for the rest of their season.
