Royal Holloway Old Boys had to be patient to beat Westside but a 40 yard Stevie wonder goal signed sealed and delivered the win.
With the Old Boys waiting to hear if Steve will be able to extend his stay at the club for another year hopes are high he’ll say ‘I’m yours’.
An unchanged starting eleven took the field after a good performance last week. There were chances in the first half and both Rich Ryan and Curt Watts could have scored from inside the 6-yard box.
The home side created better opportunities in the second half but couldn’t beat the excellent Westside goalkeeper. Midway through the second period Scott picked up a clearance just inside the Westside half strode forward and looked as if he might play a through ball to Harry Cobb but spotted the ‘keeper off his line and chipped him from 40 yards.
There were further chances at both ends and Dolfi was called upon to make an excellent save from the Westside sub but the Old Boys victory was deserved.
Next week sees Ripley Village visit Nobles, wishing Westside the best for the rest of the season.
